Azam’s schooling journey started at Aitchison College Lahore, Burn Hall Abbottabad, the University of Karachi, and finally Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.

Besides being a hospitality veteran, Azam is an internationally recognized corporate trainer, life coach, and inspirational speaker. Azam has worked with firms such as Habib  Bank  Ltd, Askari   Bank   Ltd,   Fauji   Fertilizer,   Jaffer Brothers, Nestle, Aga Khan University, Pakistan Air  Force,  Pakistan  Navy,  Shaukat  Khanum Hospital,   Mobil,   British   American   Tobacco, Chevron, Pakistan Cables, Beaconhouse Group and numerous other corporate entities. He has also spoken to thousands of students at schools,    colleges and universities across Pakistan.
Azam has held numerous positions during his career which include Chief Operating Officer of the Hashoo Education Division, Corporate Director for Sales & Marketing Serena Hotels South & Central Asia, Corporate Director Training and Development Serena Hotels South & Central Asia, and Senior Consultant for TEVTA Punjab, Akhuwat and Jaffer Brothers Ltd to name a few.
His most recent achievement regarding hospitality and tourism industry includes the conception and execution of two gold standard hospitality schools under the Hashoo and Akhuwat banners.
Azam is also certified to deliver the 7 Habits Program by Franklin Covey.
Azam has also been a leading sportsman and was Pakistan’s national tennis doubles champion. He has represented Pakistan in tournaments at home and abroad. He is also a qualified pilot and has flown for Air Search & Rescue in Colorado, USA. Music is Azam’s passion; he has been playing for over 4 decades.
Before joining Hashwani Hotels and Serena, he held the following positions:
Director Marketing of Berger Paints Responsible for all revenue areas of the Company that included industrial offerings. In addition, he was also responsible for budgeting, planning and expansion projects.
Executive Director of Colony Sarhad Textile Mills and Suhail Jute Mills Ltd. Responsible for trading, exports of finished goods and imports of a wide range of raw materials.
