Biography of Mustafa Erguven
Mustafa Erguven was born in 1982 in Cyprus. He began his university education in the field of maritime studies and graduated from a maritime faculty as a merchant navy officer. To further his career, he pursued a master's degree in international relations, enhancing his knowledge and skills. Erguven started his maritime career as a deck officer in an international company. During his tenure, he gained significant experience in transportation activities as well as the international trade. Upon returning to Cyprus, he began working as an executive in a maritime company. In this company, he held positions such as Designated Person Ashore (DPA) and Company Security Officer (CSO). Additionally, he served as the acting general manager, playing a critical role in the company's management.
Another significant step in Mustafa Erguven's career was his appointment as the chief of staff for the Prime Minister of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC). In this role, he contributed significantly to the execution and organization of government operations.
Following his role as chief of staff in the Prime Ministry, he began working as the deputy secretary general at the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce (KTTO). In this position, he is responsible for the chamber's international relations, its relations with the European Union, and administrative matters together with the economic issues. Erguven strives to strengthen the chamber's position in the international arena. Mustafa Erguven has achieved significant success in various fields, ranging from maritime to public service and executive roles in the chamber of commerce. His expertise in international relations and leadership skills continue to contribute to the development of the Turkish Cypriot community and its business sector.
