Tea for Tourism Series

Building on this momentum, ICCD has launched the  “Tea for Tourism”  Series — a structured platform of thematic dialogues designed to sustain engagement and translate discussions into actionable outcomes. The series convenes policymakers, industry leaders, academia, investors, and development partners to explore high-potential tourism sub-sectors and strengthen collaboration across the Islamic world.

Under this initiative, the first program — the Medical Tourism Conference — was organized on 15 July 2025 at ICCD Headquarters in Karachi. The conference brought together healthcare professionals, hospital leadership, consultants, pharmaceutical and biomedical companies, supply chain experts, government representatives, and media to deliberate on emerging trends, innovations, and challenges in medical tourism.

Following the successful convening of the 2nd Sustainable Tourism Forum & Expo (STF) on 21–22 January 2026 at the Pearl-Continental Hotel Karachi, ICCD is further expanding the “Tea for Tourism” Series to include focused engagements on Education Tourism, Religious Tourism, Halal Tourism, Blue Tourism and Culture & Heritage Tourism etc. These initiatives aim to strengthen strategic partnerships, promote investment opportunities, and unlock the socio-economic potential of sustainable tourism across OIC member countries.
